To provide a hand-held operation type video game machine having a reflection liquid crystal display which enables a user to enjoy game with good images even when external light is little and a reflector attachment which realizes the same.

This hand-held operation type video game machine 1 has a reflector plate 12 of nearly a rectangular shape of a size at which the plate nearly covers a display screen 32 of nearly the rectangular shape disposed in the central part at the front of the machine. This reflector plate 12 is mounted by means of hinges 14 having shafts 20 along the lower side 32a of the display screen 32 in such a manner that the reflector plate can freely rise, fall and turn. The plate is constituted to come to rest stably in an arbitrary angle position by the suitable turning friction set at the hinges 14. The surface 12a of the reflector plate 12 on the side where the plate faces the display screen 32 has an optical constitution to reflect light.
