Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handheld device that is small and light and reduces the level of noise.SOLUTION: In a handheld device having a motor, the motor generates an airflow through the handheld device. The motor includes a frame, a rotor assembly, and a stator assembly. The frame supports the rotor assembly and the stator assembly, and includes an inner wall, an outer wall, and a plurality of diffuser vanes extending between the inner wall and the outer wall. The rotor assembly includes a shaft, a magnet, a bearing assembly, and an impeller. The stator assembly includes a bobbin, a stator core and a winding wound around the bobbin. The frame is formed of zinc, and the impeller is formed of aluminum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
