PURPOSE: To provide a hand protecting body for making a hand hold easy to be detached/ attached and enabling it to be attached even on a hand hold for a string laid parcel, by molding a side part projecting piece of a hand hold introducing part which is located nearer to the end part than the hand hold holding part thinner than the other parts.

CONSTITUTION: A narrow hand hold introducing part 2 and a hand hold holding part 3 near the center of a thin board body, following the introducing part 2, are cut-molded on both ends of a hand protecting body 1 made of a nearly rectangular thin board body, and a projecting piece 4 whose hand hold introducing part 2 has an antideviating action is made. This projecting piece 4 is made thinner than the other parts. But if the slipping-off preventing projecting piece 4 is made in the same thickness as the other parts, the hand hold is difficult to be detached/attached and if the projecting piece 4 is made thinner, an adequate flexibility is suitablly obtained. Having an enough width, the projecting piece 4 may be difficult to be deformed in the width direction of the projecting piece 4 and may not be deformed toward the hand hold holding part 3 direction when the hand hold is introduced by the projecting piece 4 and the hand hold may not get out toward the tip direction during its usage. Furthermore, when the hand protecting body 1 is fitted from under a handle for a string laid parcel, the projecting piece 4 does not bend to be fitted into the hand hold and the protecting body 1 does not drop off due to the elasticity, thus it is suitable.
