Title:
HAND SCANNER AND UNIDIRECTIONAL CLUTCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3198262
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scanner from being moved at a high speed in a sub- scanning direction in a degree that reading is not in time and to prevent the scanner from being moved in a direction E which is opposite to the sub-scanning direction.
SOLUTION: A 1st helical gear 28 and a 2nd helical gear 31 meshing with the 1st helical gear 28 is interlocked with a detection roller 24 in contact with a side of an original. A motion along with a rotary axial line is prevented for either of the 1st helical gear 28 and the 2nd helical gear 31, and the other is moved along the rotary axial line. When the other helical gear is moved along the rotary axial line direction, a friction member 42 allows the other helical gear 31 to produce a friction brake torque by a thrust along the rotary axial line.
