The wheel device of the hand stroller includes a plurality of projections 93 provided so as to form a certain space around an axle shaft, on a side opposed to a wheel holding member of the wheel. The wheel holding member includes a lock operation member capable of rocking between a lock position and a lock release position, around a rocking shaft 91 parallel to the axle shaft. The lock operation member includes a stopper pin 92a fitting into a gap 94 between the projections 93 in the lock position and retreating from the projection 93 in the lock release position. Thus, the wheel device is configured so that the intersection angle θ formed by tangent lines α, β is substantially 90° on an intersection P between a rotation locus C1 drawn by the center position of the stopper pin 92a around the axle shaft 25 when the stopper pin is engaged in the projection 93 and a rotation locus C2 drawn by the center position of the stopper pin 92a around the rocking shaft 91.
