Title:
HAND TOOL APPARATUS WITH ELECTRONIC DEPTH STOPPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002321110
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a hand tool apparatus which has a non-contacting depth stopper and can exactly determine the depth of a drilled hole without locking of a drill.

A drilling hand tool apparatus (1) at least partially driven by rotation and impact comprises an electric driving section (2), a hammering mechanism (3), and an electronic depth stopper (4). The depth stopper (4) comprises a non-contacting distance sensor (5), and an arithmetic unit (6) that is connected to the electric driving section (2) and/or the hammering mechanism (3) via control means (7, 7', 7") and converts a measured value (M) of the distance sensor to a signal until a desired value of the depth is obtained. The hammering operation can be weakened based on the signal generated by the control means (7, 7', 7") while keeping the rotational motion constant.
