To provide a hand tool which is convenient and useful for cutting cables, such as various kind of the electrical cord, etc., or removing the coating sheath of the cable.

A hand tool has two main body parts having through holes 20, 21, and 22 and a holder 12 which is attached in a state where the holder 12 can rotate against the pressing force of a spring for cutting blade. The holder 12 has slot holes which are respectively matched to the holes 20, 21, and 22 and can be moved sufficiently so that a cable can be inserted into a selected hole of the main body. A cutting blade 13 is supported by a holder, and the inserted cable is engaged with the blade 13 under the pressing force of the spring applied to the holder to cut directly or by relatively rotating the hand tool against the cable. The hand tool, in addition, is also provided with adjusting means 15 and 16 for adjusting the maximum cutting depth of the blade 13 at the time of removing the sheath of the cable.
