To provide a handle for a container capable of providing a container which has an approximately rectangular cross section, is excellent in storability, has good blow-moldability, does not cause various kinds of inconvenience on the container and the handle, and has sufficient strength against drop impact, the container with the handle, and its manufacturing method.

The container with the handle consists of a polyester-made container 8 constituted sequentially from the top of a mouth 2, a shoulder 3, a barrel 4 and a bottom 5 having a recess on part of the barrel and in addition a handle mounting protrusion in the recess, and a polyester-made handle 9 to be mounted on the handle mounting protrusion. A gap is provided between a wall surface around the handle mounting protrusion and the handle in the recess. The horizontal section of the barrel is approximately rectangular. The recess is located at a corner of an upper half of the barrel, and the handle mounting protrusion is located in the recess on a diagonal line L on the upper half.
