To provide a handle lock device of a circuit breaker with easy mounting of a lock cover onto a handle of a breaker, and can sufficiently lock the handle with only the lock cover.
The handle lock device is provided with a handle lock cover formed in an H-shape with a pair of arm members set in parallel with an interval made of a material having flexibility and a coupling member coupling the pair of arm members at an intermediate part. On opposed inner side surfaces of the arm member at a chip side of the lock cover, protrusions engaged with thickness-reducing holes of a knob part of the handle, respectively, are provided, and also, an engaging part engaging with an insertion-fitted opening of the cover is provided at an end part of the base end side arm member of the lock cover. The end part of the arm member of the base end side of the lock cover is pressed inward to widen an interval between both arm members of the chip part of the arm members of the chip side, the knob part of the handle of the circuit breaker is pinched from both sides, and the arm member of the base end part side is made engaged with the opening of the cover to lock the handle at an open-circuit position or a closed-circuit position.
