To provide a handle mounting device capable of mounting a handle simply and reliably.

This device is comprised of both a handle 1 provided with a pair of right and left mounting legs 2 and 2 with their tip parts protruding to the back surface side to be inserted into the mounting holes 8 of a body to be mounted P and a plate-shaped mounting member 6. The handle 1 is provided with a contact surface 5 to be in contact with the surface of the body to be mounted P when the mounting legs 2 are inserted into the mounting holes 8 of the body to be mounted P. The mounting legs 2 are each provided with a narrow-diameter shaft part 3 and a flange part 4 formed at the tip of the narrow-diameter shaft part 3. In the mounting member 6, a pair of long grooves 7 and 7 into which the narrow-diameter shaft parts 3 of the pair of mounting legs 2 and 2 are each inserted are open and formed at one edge of the mounting member 6. Each long groove 7 is narrower in width than the flange part 4, and an inclined surface 6a is formed in one surface of the mounting member 6 so that the wall thickness of the mounting member 6 is gradually thickened from the tip open edge toward the back end part of the long groove 7.
