To provide a handle operation load detection device that has versatility with respective to multiple vehicles with different front forks, etc., and easily compares detection data.

A left side detection device 10 is attached to the left side end of a handle pipe 5. The left side detection device 10 includes a grip pipe 11 to cover the handle pipe 5. An inner end 11a is movably connected to the handle pipe 5 by a pin 13, and the outer peripheral part of a load sensor 15 is screwed onto an outer end 11b. The center part of the load sensor 15 is fixed to one end of a load detection spindle 17, and the other end of the load detection spindle 17 is press-fitted to a fixed ring 18, which is fixed by press-fitting to the inner side of the handle pipe 5, thereby to fix the load sensor 15 to the handle pipe 5. When force is applied to the grip pipe 11, the load sensor 15 detects a distortion based on the relative displacement of the grip pipe 11 and the handle pipe 5, so that an operation load on the handle pipe 5 is detected.
