Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel enabling a weight saving and improving design characteristics by a simple structure.SOLUTION: Multiple end portions 35, 35 of a rim core metal portion 31 of a core metal 25 apart from each other are joined by a joint 26 formed of a synthetic resin. The core metal 25 is formed of a metal and forming a portion of the rim. The multiple end portions joined by the joint 26 forms a remaining other portion of the rim. At least the rim core metal portion 31 of the core metal 25, and the joined portion between the rim core metal portion 31 and the joint 26 are integrally covered by a cover. This enables a weight saving. Since the joined portion between the core metal 25 and the joint is not exposed, the joint 26 can be utilized as it is without, for example, applying another member, thereby improving design characteristics by a simple structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
