Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide easy and quick adjustability for the heading of a handlebar, suppress the manufacturing costs through simplifying the mechanism of a heading adjusting part, and establish a sturdy fixation by lessening places where rattling of the bar is generated.
CONSTITUTION: An adjusting device A for the heading of a handlebar has a base member 1, whose outer surface 10 is shaped spherically and top is provided with a threaded hole 11, and at the outer surface 10, long grooves for fitting 12, 13 are furnished radially. The base member 1 is covered with a slide base 2, which has an inner surface 27 in a hemispherical form and can change the location while sliding on the base member 1. The handlebar 5 is secured to the slide base 2, and its outer surface 20 upper part is provided with a surface irregularity part 24. An embankment 22 is provided on each side of the surface irregularity part 24, which is equipped with long hole 23, and projections for fitting 25, 26 are furnished on the inner surface 27 of the slide base 2.
