The handling device 600 for the film unit with a lens is provided with a holding means 202 holding the film unit with a lens 100, a releasing device for a winding inhibition mechanism 204, a driving member 208 executing the winding action of a film, a detection means C2 detecting that the photographed film is housed, a moving member for opening a cover 209 and a take-out member for a film housing container 217 taking out the film housing container from the unit 100. Thus, since the winding action of the photographed film of the unit 100, the opening action of a cover for taking out the film housing container and the taking-out action of the film housing container can be automatically and surely executed in turn, the working efficiency of the developing in a film processing laboratory can be enhanced.
