To provide a multifunctional handling device which can perform various work installing operations.
The handling device is mounted on a moving member and used to carry a work to its installation position. A device body 10 to be mounted on the moving member is equipped with a collet 12 having a plurality of collet claws 15. An alignment ball 19 having a spherical convex surface 18 is mounted on a spherical concave surface 17 formed at the tip of the collet, and a work holder for holding the work is mounted on the alignment ball 19. A chuck sleeve 26 for radially displacing the collet 12 to fasten the ball 19 is provided on the device body 10. The chuck sleeve 26 is equipped with a piston 26a. When a fluid is fed to a fastening fluid chamber 35 provided in the device body 10, the alignment ball 19 is fastened by the chuck sleeve 26.
