Half-water gypsum powder is used as a material for a shaft body, and is stirred with a proper amount of water to make them into a fluidized state. The hydrate gypsum dihydrate is filled in a shaft body molding container into which a lead has already been inserted, and after the gypsum is solidified, the shaft body is released from the container, whereby a pencil or a ball-point pen is made by hand. As raw materials for the shaft body, calcium carbonates, perlite, vermiculite, wood chips, wood powder, plastic powder, methyl cellulose, colored pigments, brilliant materials, and some aromatics can be added. The shaft body molding container is an elongated shaft-shaped hollow body having a predetermined length in the axial direction, which provides a drawing-type shaft body molding container or a combined-type shaft body molding container whose inner circumferential shape in the widthwise direction is formed into a shape of circular, elliptical, polygonal, oval or a combination of them.
