Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for toilet bowls, when a user sits on or stands up from a toilet bowl, prompting the user to take an optimal anteversion posture, preventing the user from falling by failing to grasp the handrail during a sitting-on or standing-up movement, and allowing the user to easily take an ideal posture of defecation.SOLUTION: The handrail for toilet bowls includes handrail parts 4 and 4 installed on the left/right sides of a toilet bowl B. The handrail parts 4 and 4 include: grip portions 5 and 5 located at front-side tip ends thereof and, when standing up, causing a user A to grip them with the palms turned downward; anteversion posture prompting portions 6 and 6 located immediately rearward the grip portions 5 and 5, formed into inclined surfaces downward inclined toward the grip portions 5 and 5, and, when standing up, prompting the user A to take the anteversion posture; and substantially-horizontal elbow pads 7 and 7 located rearward the anteversion posture prompting portions 6 and 6, and receiving the elbows of the user A when sitting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
