To provide a handrail for a toilet in which handrail members will not greatly turn back and forth even when a user leans on the handrail members in the middle of turning.

The handrail is composed of a pair of a right and a left base members 10 installed on both side parts of a floor fixture part (a) of a toilet A fixed and installed on the floor of a toilet room, a connection member 20 to connect the base members 10 to each other, rising members 30 respectively raised on the base members 10, the handrail members 40 respectively supported at upper end parts of the rising members 30 to be capable of flipping over, and turning inward, and fixing members 50 respectively installed on the base members 10. The rising member 30 is composed of a lower support 31 comprising a metal angular pipe fixed to the base member 10, and an upper support 32 formed of a metal angular pipe, inserted into the lower support 31 from its upper end side to be vertically slidable inside the lower support 31. The upper support 32 includes a positioning means to position the handrail member 40 at an intermediate position while it is turning.
