To prevent the damage of a handrail even when a huge change is generated between buildings, and to allow the handrail to follow displacement by rotatably disposing a handrail member to a support in the horizontal direction and forming the handrail member in an extensible manner.
A handrail member 3 is arranged to supports 2 horizontally rotatably in the handrail 1, and the handrail member 3 is formed in an extensible manner. When the supports 2 are displaced in the right direction by the displacement of a vibration-isolation building, each hinge 31 as joining sections with each support 2 are rotated horizontally in the handrails 3, 3. Load applied to each support 2 and the handrail members 3 is let escape, and these members follow displacement between the vibration-isolation buildings without deforming and damaging these members. When the handrail members 3 are fluctuated to the supports 2, the length of the members 3 is changed. It is because inner pipes 34 follow drawing displacement when each support 2 is moved and the handrail members 3 are pulled since the members 3 consist of the double pipes of outer pipes 33 and the inner pipes 34. Accordingly, a handrail function can be displayed sufficiently even after the generation of displacement.
