Abstract:
To prevent various noises from being outputted from a speaker connecting to a hands-free controller.
A hands-free controller 3 which connects to a portable telephone set 1 via a cord 2 and mounted on a vehicle is provided with a voice signal amplifier circuit 31 and a mute circuit 32. The mute circuit 32 is made up of a semiconductor switch 321 and a silence detecting section 322. When detecting the portable telephone set 1 is in a silence state by a serial signal from the portable telephone set 1, the silence detecting section 322 activates the semiconductor switch 321 to connect an input line of the voice signal amplifier circuit 31 to ground, thereby inactivating the voice signal amplifier circuit 31.
