Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of carrying out character recognition with high precision even at the time of increasing the recognizing speed of a handwritten character.
SOLUTION: The first stroke is inputted concerning a handwritten character (S102, S103), and after the lapse of an x time (S105), measurement is started (S109), and stokes stored in an orbit buffer are character-recognized, and a character being the recognition result is displayed (S110 to S112). Before the lapse of a y time since the start of measurement (S114), when any new stroke is inputted (S115), measurement is started from 0 (S117), and the stoke is added to the orbit buffer (S120), and the stroke is newly character-recognized (S110 to S112). After the lapse of the y time since the start of measurement (S114), the character being the recognition result is decided (S121).
