To provide a handwritten data processing apparatus that accepts and displays a graphic or handwritten character larger than the area of an input part which accepts handwritten input.

The handwritten data processing apparatus 10 is provided with a display part 2014 formed by cells configured in a matrix; and a handwriting input part 12 arranged on the front face of an input display device 201, and integrated with a translucent input tablet 202. A normal input area 211 and an extended input area 221 are formed on an input table 202. The normal input area 211 is associated with one cell. One section of the extended input area 221 is associated with each cell in contact with the one cell. Then, the trajectory of a stylus pen 301 is displayed according to the resolution of the one cell. When the trajectory of the stylus pen 301 is continuously detected from the normal input area 211 to the extended input area 221, it is displayed in an extended manner.
