To provide a handy extinguisher which ensures to perform initial extinguishing against fire caused by cooking oil by dropping and diffusing the extinguishing agent mounted just over the fire origin by the flame of the cooking oil fire.

At a lower part of the tubular extinguisher body, four holes for strings are provided. A burnable string body is inserted in a cater-cornered manner and horizontally, and tied up outside of the extinguisher body. A container to store a tubular extinguishing agent with a cup-like bottom inside the extinguisher body is mounted on the string member spanned at the lower part of the extinguisher body.
