Title:
HANDY SCANNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2785774
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized scanner with excellent contact adhesion performance between an original and a sensor section without increasing the number of components.
SOLUTION: A linear image sensor 23 has picture element arrays formed by arranging lots of photoelectric conversion elements adopting thin film semiconductors such as amorphous silicon linearly onto a transparent board. In a chamfered optical fiber bundle 27, except an optical fiber in close contact with the picture element array of the linear image sensor 23, side faces in contact with an original 20 are chamfered. A reflected light from the original 20 is transferred in the optical fiber bundle 27 and detected by the linear image sensor 23. Since the optical fiber bundle 27 is chamfered, even when there is any positional deviation between a roller 22 and the optical fiber bundle 27, a distance between the original 20 and the optical fiber corresponding to the picture element array of the linear image sensor 23 is decreased more than a conventional scanner.
