The hanging implement for building capable of suspension-supporting a ceiling joist and a ceiling plate to the I-shaped beam member, includes a base plate facing the lower face of a flange of the I-shaped beam member; an upper fixing part having a pair of locking pieces extended to the upper side from the base plate with a predetermined space; and a lower fixing part that can fix the ceiling joist. The pair of locking pieces extend vertically from the base plate, and have vertical pieces with the internal wall surfaces parallel to each other, and horizontal pieces extended horizontally from the vertical pieces. The flange is allowed to pass through between the horizontal pieces to abut on the base plate, and the base plate is horizontally rotated. The internal wall surfaces of the vertical pieces thereby face the side face of the flange, and the lower faces of the horizontal pieces abut on the upper face of the flange to hold the flange between the locking pieces.
