To provide a hanging structure of an elevating body for elevator which efficiently elevates a car or a counterweight even when the main rope is stretched.
An elevating point 9 for a car 2 is provided on the part of a pulley beam 11b arranged on the right above a cross head 2a in the manner that it is not interfered with a main rope 12. An insertion hole for hanging body 13a for inserting a first hanging body 4 into a machine room floor 3a arranged right below a hanging point 9 is opened independently from an insertion hole for main rope 14. To hang the car 2, a shackle 10 is mounted on the hanging point 9 in such a state that the car 2 is moved to the vicinity of the top of the hoist way 17. The first hanging body 4 with one end connected to the shackle 10 has the other end suspended into the hoist way 17 through the insertion hole 13. Both ends of the second hanging body 6 wound around the cross head 2a are connected to one end of a chain block 5. The other end of the chain block 5 is then connected to the other end of the first hanging body 4 suspended into the hoist way 17. The chain block 5 is wound to hang the car 2 at the hanging point 9.
