To mechanize an operation to fit a hanging tool made of a resin provided on the upper end side of a calendar or the like and for hanging the calendar or the like on the upper end of the calendar or the like.

In the hanging tool, a front constituting body 6 and a back constituting body 7 are freely brought close to and separated from each other so that a part 3 to be held of an article 2 to be hung can be held between the front constituting body 6 and the back constituting body 7 by bringing one of the front constituting body 6 or the back constituting body 7 close to the other one under a condition that the part 3 to be held of the article 2 to be hung is arranged on one opposing face side of the front constituting body 6 or the back constituting body 7. The hanging tool is constituted so that on an engaging body 14 provided on one of the front constituting body 6 or the back constituting body 7, a body 15 to be engaged provided on the other one is engaged so as to freely engage or disengage, and thereby, the front constituting body 6 and the back constituting body 7 are connected with each other and the part 3 to be held of the article 2 to be hung is pinched and held between the front constituting body 6 and the back constituting body 7.
