Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard coating with which a long-life cutting tool can be manufactured, the cutting tool, and method of manufacturing the hard coating.SOLUTION: A hard coating includes two first crystal phases and a second crystal phase arranged between the two first crystal phases. The two first crystal phases each independently include a structure having a TiAlN phase having a sodium chloride type crystal structure and an AlTiN phase having a sphalerite type crystal structure laminated alternately.
