Abstract:
To provide a hard film former that has hydrogen brittleness resistance, wear resistance, and is excellent in detachment resistance, and to provide a machine component and a bearing using the same.SOLUTION: A hard film former 1 includes a hard film 3 for suppressing intrusion and diffusion of hydrogen atoms at a surface of a substrate 2, where a ratio of a Vickers hardness of the hard film 3 relative to a Vickers hardness of the substrate 2 is 0.90-1.20, the Vickers hardness of the hard film 3 and the Vickers hardness of the substrate 2 are relatively between 500Hv and 1000Hv, and the hard film 3 is a Ni film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
