Title:
HARD OXIDE PARTICLE COATED WITH CERAMIC PIGMENT, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05339081
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To expand the ranges of colorability and surface expressivity without damaging color tones by coating a hard oxide material particle with a ceramic pigment.

CONSTITUTION: A hard oxide material particle is wetted by the solution or dispersant of a binder, continuously mixed with the required quantity of fine powder ceramic pigments and dried. Thus, the hard oxide particle which can be mixed on the surface of an arbitrarily colored grace or another without damaging color tones and can expand the range of colors for performing special surface expression such as uniform colored and spotted patterns, matting or nonuiform patterns, is obtained. AS hard substances, aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide and especially corandom are cited and as the binder, silicic acid, silicate and colorless glass frit or the like are cited. The ceramic pigment is an inorganic compound to be used as a colored component in a ceramic glass and produced from an oxide insoluble or slightly soluble in the glass through a sintering process.
