To provide a hardening prevention method for cement whereby cement containing water is prevented from hardening, while being permitted to coagulate, and aggregate is taken out of surplus ready-mixed concrete and reused; and to provide a hardening preventive therefor.

The method is characterized by that a specified amount of citric acid is mixed into cement containing water to prevent the cement from hardening, while permitting its coagulation.
