Title:
HARDLY DECOMPOSABLE SUBSTANCE TREATMENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004025092
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To develop a hardly decomposable substance treatment device which can make a wastewater absorb a large amount of air without using an aerator and decompose hardly decomposable substances in the wastewater efficiently by microorganism-immobilized carriers.

The hardly decomposable substance treatment device 2 is composed of a sprayer 14 disposed at the top of a treatment device body 4 for spraying the waste water OW downward, a carrier tank 8 disposed below the sprayer 14 and having wastewater circulation openings for the inflow and outflow of the wastewater OW, the microorganism-immobilized carriers 10 with which the carrier tank 8 is charged and on which microorganisms are immobilized to decompose the hardly decomposable substances when contacting with the wastewater OW, a storage space 7 for storing the wastewater flowing out from the carrier tank 8, and a pump P for returning the stored waste water 6 to the sprayer 14 and circulating it downward again. The wastewater can absorb air sufficiently while it flows down from the sprayer 14, and the hardly decomposable substances in the wastewater can be efficiently decomposed by the microorganisms immobilized on a number of the carriers charged in the carrier tank 8.
