Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain protection changeover of a device with hitless by providing a changeover unit deciding individually a moment when an operating state is switched into a standby state and a unit sending/receiving a digital signal via a transmission line.
CONSTITUTION: The device is made up of a data transmission reception and control unit DSW, an IF unit, an operating and standby hardware unit HE 104 and a line coupler unit 106. Fig shows only the operating HW and it is connected to a standby HW via the unit 106 and the DSW uses a desired operating/standby HW in pairs. Furthermore, an output logic signal of a DSI-S unit and an AS control signal from the DSW are given to other HW via the processor 110 and the IF unit to decide individually a moment when the operating state is switched into a standby state. Thus, the protection circuit of the digital signal transmission reception HW is conducted hitless without the need for a central controller.
