To obtain a higher harmonics countermeasure apparatus capable of correctly determining (preventing an incorrect determination) whether or not the connection state of current detectors for detecting a current flowing from a power supply is normal.
The higher harmonics countermeasure apparatus 3, which is for compensating higher harmonics related to a commercial power supply 1, includes a line-voltage zero-cross detection unit 11 which detects the zero-cross point of a line voltage of the commercial power supply 1 as a reference phase, a current unbalance state detection unit 12 which detects a coefficient related to a current unbalance state based on current detected values related to the detection of current detectors 4R, 4T that detect a current flowing from the power supply, a fundamental wave component calculation unit 17 which calculates a fundamental wave component of a current related to the detection of the current detectors 4R, 4T, and a phase angle determination unit 14 which determines the connection abnormality of the current detectors 4R, 4T based on the reference phase, the current unbalance state, and the fundamental wave component of the current.
