Abstract:
To provide a material for decreasing harmful substances having excellent effect for decreasing various harmful substances at a low cost in consideration of the efficient utilization of steel slag which is mostly discarded as industrial waste owing to the delay of the effective utilization of the slag.
The harmful substance decreasing material contains steel slag containing ≥3% Al2O3and ≥15% Fe2O3and Al2O3in total. The harmful substance decreasing material of the invention contributes to the reduction of the volume of steel slag discarded as an industrial waste by the efficient utilization of the steel slag which is mostly discarded as an industrial waste owing to the delay of the effective utilization of the slag and is effective for decreasing various kinds of harmful substances at a low cost. The decreasing action of the material is not hindered by coexisting substances and the material has high decreasing activity to individual harmful substance and, accordingly, the material is suitable for the use to decrease the harmful substances in soil and sewage contaminated with harmful substances generated in chemical industry, electric and electronic industry, medical facility, various research facility, etc.
