Abstract:
To provide cellulose ether capsules which are substantially free of haze formation at their interior surfaces, and to provide a method for making such capsules.
A cellulose ether composition includes a low molecular weight cellulose ether of viscosity of about 200 mPa s or less in a 2% aqueous solution at 20°C. The composition has a sodium chloride content of about 0.3 wt.% (mass%) or less based upon the weight of the cellulose ether. Also disclosed are: the capsules formed of a coating solution composed of the composition exhibiting significantly reduced haze formation; and a method for making the capsules.
