Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the device small, to reduce the cost and to simplify the manufacture processing.
CONSTITUTION: A shield member 66 is interposed between a gimbal 63 and a flexible printed circuit board 64. Thus, since a shield member 66 faces between a lower end surface of the gimbal 63 and a lower end surface of a head carriage 61, the height of the disk device is reduced. Furthermore, it is not required to form the shield member 66 like a box, the working is simply implemented. Furthermore, since the shield member 66 is interposed between the gimbal 63 and the flexible printed circuit board 64, it is not required to process a contacting surface of the shield member 66 with high accuracy.
