To provide a paper machine capable of preventing a bad condition such as spotting, etc., caused by air entrainment of free jet even in a high-speed paper making.
The tip part of a vertical wall 22 constituting a current part of a head box 5 is notched the tip part is brought close to wires 9 and 10 so that the vertical wall at the latter half of the current part 25 of the head box 5 is constituted of the top wire 9 and the bottom wire 10. Sealing water supply mechanisms 32 for supplying sealing water to a gap between the tip part of the head box 5 and both the wires 9 and 10 are installed. Suction mechanisms 44 and jetting mechanisms 45 are arranged in the interiors of rolls 41 and 42 wound with the wires 9 and 11. A header part 28 and the current part of the head box 5 are divided and made to communicate with each other.
