Title:
HEAD CHANGING TYPE CUTTING TOOL AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3539210
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve engaging strength and tool rigidity.
SOLUTION: A head part 12 and a shank part 11 are engaged with each other by shrinkage fitting. The shank part 11 is formed with a shaft part 16 and a taper face 18. The head part 12 is formed with a hole part 26 engaged with the shaft part 16 and a tapered part 28 engaged with the taper face 18. The hole part 26 and the tapered part 28 are respectively provided with interference, the inner diameters are smaller than the outer diameters or the shaft part 16 and the taper face 18. By shrinkage fitting, the shaft part 16 and the hole part 26, and the taper face 18 and the tapered part 28 are respectively fixed together. A key 17 is provided on the extreme end face of the shaft part 16, a key way 27 is provided on the bottom face 26b of the hole part 26 to engage with each other, and the sides of the key 17 and the key way 27 are positioned so as to nearly squarely meet with the main component of force of cutting resistance.
