PURPOSE: To enlarge the lateral travel of a head so as to enlarge a working range while a feed screw is shortened so as to be easily manufactured.

CONSTITUTION: A lateral sleigh 3 for supporting a head 6 on a Y-axis rail 2 extended in the lateral direction is supported in such a manner as to slide in the lateral direction, a driving unit 12 is screw-connected to a feed screw 10 extended parallel to the Y-axis rail 2 through a nut, a slide cylinder 22 is disposed parallel to the Y-axis rail 2 between the driving unit 12 and the lateral sleigh 3, one end of the slide cylinder is connected to the driving unit 12, the other end thereof is connected to the lateral sleigh 2, and the driving unit is provided with a feed motor 17 for rotating a nut or the feed screw.
