Title:
HEAD PART IMPACTOR FOR PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION TEST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3815614
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part impactor for pedestrian protection test capable of preventing resonance from being detected by a low-pass filter by increasing the bolt tightening strength of the head part impactor or uniformizing the wall thickness of a spherical part to increase the primary natural frequency of the head part impactor and facilitating the installation of the head part impactor on an injection molding machine.
SOLUTION: This adult head part impactor comprises the thick-walled spherical part 1 of a light metal such as aluminum having an outer peripheral surface covered with a skin 2 of a synthetic resin material such as polyvinyl chloride, an end plate 3 fixed to the bottom surface of the spherical part 1 at equal circumferential intervals with eight bolts 4, an accelerometer 6 supported on the end plate 3 in the hollow 5 of the spherical part 1, and an attraction plate 7 magnetically attracted to the operating shaft of the injection molding machine injection-molding the head part impactor to the bottom surface of the end plate 3. In a child head part impactor, the wall thickness of the spherical part 1 is is uniformized by spherical boring.
