Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent burst of an air bag body and to quickly and surely develop and inflate the air bag body.
SOLUTION: The front-side tip part 32B of an inner tube 32 disposed in the air bag body 16 is closed, and an opening area of a gas outlet port 34 adjoining to the front-side tip part 32B is set smaller than an opening area of an adjoining gas outlet hole 36A. The opening areas S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, and S7 of respective gas outlet holes 36A, 36B, 36C, 36D, 36E, 36F, and 36G are set that the opening areas of the gas outlet holes in a side far from a gas jet port 14A side of an inflator 14 are larger than the opening areas of the gas outlet holes in the side of the gas jet port 14A of the inflator 14, practically S1=S2=S3>S4>S5>S6>7.
