To provide a head protection air bag device capable of surely protecting the head of an occupant seated on a third row seat.
In the head protection air bag device M1 mounted on the three-row seat type vehicle, an air bag 22 is provided with a front row bag 23 covering an indoor side of windows W1/W2 arranged at sides of the seats at first and second rows at completion of inflation; and a rear row bag 43 covering an indoor side of a window W3 arranged at a side of the seat at the third row at completion of inflation. The front row bag 23 is made to a constitution that an inflation gas is not flowed and is provided with an extension part 39 extending from a rear edge side to a rear side of the vehicle at completion of inflation and having a rear end fixed to an upper edge side of the window W3 arranged at the third row. The extension part 39 is arranged between a third inflation shielding part 48 of the rear row bag 43 completed with inflation and the window 3 and capable of supporting an outdoor side of the third inflation shielding part 48 at completion of inflation of the air bag 22.
