Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protection member capable of easing an impact applied to a head which occurs during an emergency, such as a lateral collision of a vehicle, and improving the comfort, and to provide a child seat and a head protection method.SOLUTION: A child seat 1 includes: a body part 2 forming a space which accommodates an infant 9; a seat cushion 3 disposed at the inner side of the body part 2; a harness 4 which restrains the infant 9 to the body part 2; and a head protection member 5 including a block body 51 disposed between a side wall part 33 of the seat cushion 3 and a neck part 92 of the infant 9. The block body 51 includes: a first side surface part 511 which may contact with the neck part 92 of the infant 9; a second side surface part 512 which may contact with the side wall part 33 and is higher than the first side surface part 511; and an inclined surface 515 disposed between an upper end of the first side surface part 511 and an upper end of the second side surface part 512.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
