To increase the moving extent of a virtual image displayed by projecting display light on a window shield glass.
A controller 24 is constituted so that, when an ignition switch is turned on, the display light is emitted from a display part 22, an actuator 40 is operated in such a state that the display light is emitted, and a mirror 30 is rotated toward the rear side of a vehicle by taking a rotating shaft 34 arranged on the upper end part 30A of the mirror 30 as a rotational center. Consequently, when the ignition switch is turned on, the virtual image 54 is drastically moved upward, then, displayed on the combiner part 50A of the window shield glass 50 so that the virtual image 54 may gradually move upward while taking the front end part 54A as the leader. On the other hand, when the ignition switch is turned off, the mirror 30 is rotated toward the rear side of the vehicle in such a state that the display light is emitted, then, the virtual image 54 is gradually moved downward and erased while taking the lower end part as the leader.
