Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "head-up display" that can achieve distant viewpoint display with a small device configuration and can switch between close viewpoint display and distant viewpoint display in a short time without generating noise sound and backlash of display.SOLUTION: A head-up display comprises: a display unit; a display surface that displays an image projected by the display unit; and a reflecting mirror 12 that reflects light emitted from the display unit to be guided to the display surface. The reflecting mirror 12 is formed of an electronic device 30 that includes an upper transparent electrode 33a, and a lower transparent electrode 33b that is at a position separated from the upper transparent electrode 33a, and can selectively make either one of the upper transparent electrode 33a or the lower transparent electrode 33b into a mirror surface state through control of voltage applied to the electrode 33a and 33b. The head-up display electrically controls the voltage applied to the electronic device 30 to change a reflection position, in order to change the length of an optical path to make a virtual image distance variable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
