Title:
HEAD FOR VERTICAL MAGNETIZATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5744213
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the effect of the change of temperature, the vibration, etc. and at the same time to eliminate the control of position, by providing a head pair containing a main and auxiliary magnetic poles on a single substrate.

CONSTITUTION: A vertical magnetizing head containing a main magnetic polse 8 and an auxiliary magnetic pole 9 is provided on a single substrate 10 made of a silicon wafer, a glass substrate, etc. An electric signal is supplied to a coil 12 of the pole 9 to produce a magnetic field. This magnetic field is concentrated at the pole 1 to be magnetically recorded on a vertical magnetic recording medium 7. For the reproduction, the change of the magnetic field caused by the vertical magnetization of the medium 7 is delivered through the coil 12 of the pole 9 in the form of an electric signal. As a result, the change of output due to the shift of position can be eliminated, and accordingly a certain level of output can be extracted from a vertical magnetic recording medium.
