To provide a header structure for heat exchanger, preventable the flow of a brazing material on the surface of a seat plate into a tube during brazing by applying easy grooving work to a leg portion of a tank member constituting a header.
Since two passages 2, 2 in the header 1 can be isolated from each other with the leg portion 3b of the tank member 3 and a bead portion 8 of the seat plate 4 and the leg portion 3b can be shortened, a clearance groove 9 of the leg portion 3b is easily formed shallower with press grooving work. Since the bead portion 8 of the seat plate 4 is lower than the terminal position of the tube 5, the clogging of the tube 5 with the fused brazing material on the inside face of the seat plate 4 due to the flow thereinto through its terminal opening during heating treatment can be prevented.
