Abstract:

To provide a headlight control device for controlling light distribution corresponding to the travelling condition of a vehicle or the status of a road where the vehicle travels.

A light from a lamp 3 is introduced to a projection part 4 which is constructed similar to a projection part of a liquid crystal projector. A projection image is created by the projection part 4 and projected to the front side of the vehicle. A headlight control ECU 2 controls the projection part 4 and has a signal acquiring means 21 for acquiring detection signals from a vehicle travelling condition detecting device and a travelling road status detecting device, and a projection image control means 22 for determining the projection image in accordance with the acquired detection signals and controlling the projection part 4 to create the projection image. In this way, the light distribution range and the light distribution color of a headlight which are determined by the projection image is automatically set adequate corresponding to the travelling condition of the vehicle or the status of the road where the vehicle travels.
