Title:
HEADLIGHT FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08138408
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate a sudden illuminance difference in a boundary part with flat light distribution formed by a second lens body by arranging an inclined part in a part of a total reflection surface of a first lens body to form hot zone light distribution.

CONSTITUTION: A light conductive body 20 forms the incident light from an optical fiber cable 10 in a prescribed light distribution shape, and respectively emits it to first and second lens bodies 30 and 40. The first lens body 30 is formed so that an emitting surface 32 becomes a spherical surface by setting the vicinity of an incident surface 31 as an object internal focus, and emits an incident light flux as hot zone distribution no brightly illuminate a comparatively narrow range. The second lens body 40 is formed in a cylindrical shape so that an emitting surface 42 becomes a circular arc in the perpendicular direction by setting the vicinity of an incident surface 41 as an object internal focus and both side surfaces 44 and 45 form a perpendicular plane, and emits the incident light flux as comparatively dark flat light distribution diffused in the lateral direction. Here, an inclined part 33 is arranged in a part of a total reflection surface 34 of an upper surface of the first lens body 30, and a comparatively dark part is formed under hot zone light distribution.
